Just before this begins to sound like a ten-page advertisement, allow me to
treat some of the down sides I found with all the service. Please understand
that the statements above may become invalid as the PayPal system changes and
updates.
For one, you can just deal with a client that has PayPal. If you run
an elektronische geschäftsabwicklung and only accept PayDrill, you limit yourself
to only those people who are "in the club". You might not think that is such a
big problem because the service has customers numbering into the millions, but
when compared to number of people who have credit cards... if you're limiting
those who can use the device. To that end, I see PayPal getting only one
possible method of repayment rather than being the end almost all for an online
business.
It value to be that PayPal did not accept international customers.
Well, they are doing now so this isn't a great deal of down side but I thought
I'd point out it anyway.
Lastly, which will probably tee off several real
PayPal fans, PayPal isn't seen as the "correct" method of online buying. We are
only working with the things i have read and been told by others, but I have
found that lots of people see PayPal because something that works for sales but
not for true web commerce. That is reserved for credit cards in several people's
eyes.
To further that statement, I don't start to see the major online
e-commerce sites rushing to accept PayPal. They may be staying with traditional
credit card deals. I have had people show me I must put PayPal in the wife's
site while others possess told me that a PayPal logo design would cheapen the
site.
We only offer this information as a help to help you make decisions
relating to you using or taking PayPal. Obviously you can make your decision to
get into e-business using only PayPal. Many are doing exactly that. It's
cheaper, easier, plus some claim, more secure than any kind of credit card
transaction.
To be reasonable, I should point out that there are some that
work in a similar style to PayDrill; Billpoint, TradeSafe are two other big ones,
but PayPal does indeed lead the pack by a huge margin.
PayPal is now
permitting oversea accounts. They are going to join a ton of new people. They
are going to become huge. I think the main matter they will have to contend with
as if they can break out of that "auctions only" stigma and be viewed by the
e-population as a way of buying equal to credit card use.
That's the tough
part.
